The GRR project

Warning: I've abandoned EVE because I've found very disturbing things and do not recommend you to play. This page is old and likely outdated!


My last EVE project was called "GRR", referring to "Grr Goons", a term used by Goons on those who don't like them. What is wrong with Goons that warrant such action? They were evil, before their fall. Not roleplaying evil like "pirates" who attack ships for loot. EVE is game and in every game there is competition and struggle. Scoring a goal, taking the pawn of the opposing chess player or shooting someone in an FPS game are no different from shooting an EVE ship. Goons are evil because they claim that their winnings aren't coming from simply playing the game better, but because they "have more friends" or "better at the metagame" and such nonsense, all meaning that there is nothing you can do about them. They are superior people who can do whatever they want. You can only be their victim or their slave. By doing so they stop dumb people from improving. Most of the dumb out there isn't beyond help, just need a little advice. Instead, they get insults and bully, sometimes in very extreme forms.

They are liars and bullies. They aren't strong. They marched all to Amarr to blockade it, just because they could. I challenged them in my freighter and offered 10 PLEX-es as loot if they succeed. They attacked me 102 v 1. I won. The NPC "trash" Mordus Angels slain them with 3:1 damage:loss ratio.

The project has ended with the complete defeat of Goons and their "valued allies". In March, the collapse and abandonment of SMA shown everyone how weak is the Emporium and dogpiling started (last loss report). Soon the Emporium collapsed. I've left EVE after the debriefing of this project (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), leaving all my ISK to MoA and OOS:

2014 January

• The very first step: the project to take GSF POCOs in highsec announced.

2014 February

• The first Goon POCO is destroyed. It was ninja-replaced, but still.
• My first killboard analysis with the result "an inner pet [GSF corp but not Goonwaffe] member does more than twice as much ISK damage as a pure blood Goon!"
• A killboard analysis showing that Goonwaffe members are fleetbears: they show up for strategic battles and ignore small gang PvP (and fail when they get into it).
