Weekend minipost: my first meme picture

I don't know why I never made funny but meaningful pictures, despite I liked many of them. So, here is my first. Go MS Paint:

PS: it seems someone got my point. Good! Dear ex-Nulli pilots, MoA is recruiting. I wouldn't encourage whole corps, as MoA is used to 75-80% ISK ratio instead of 40-45%, but good pilots are always wanted. PS2: not Imperium. Just two morons. Oh, here is an Imperium moron.

the Iron Lady is obvious, but who the fuck is the gal on the left??

I would be interested in hearing what your estimate would be for the percentage of CFC alts that are in MOA.

Gevlon said...

@Jim L: why should I care? As long as MoA is killing CFC, they can be 100% CFC by me.

@borat, i assume it's one of those newer popmusic singers. like madonna, but bad.

anyway, tbh, i do not really understand what is funny about that picture, especially, as the younger generation that is using the internet nowadays wasn't even born early enough to ever have heard of her.

i also not understand why you chose ms thatcher and not willy brandt, who indeed was a great politician who should be remembered.

@Daniel: not knowing about people who worked before your age isn't excusable. Or you think people shouldn't know Washington, Franklin, Napoleon, Alexander, Augustus...

Yes it is excusable, why should someone from France or Spain know about a British politician from the 80s? Whereas all the others you listed are either taught in school in the relevant curriculums or even from tv series (eg: Rome.
Mrs Kardashian whatever you may think is not some brainless socialite, no one can maintain her level of known irrelevance for as long as She did if they dont have a good bussiness acumen, even considering that the whole of Her fame was from an amateur porn video.

Pretty sure it's Thatcher, and her ilk, that's the source of all the various woes of mankind. Not the 14 year old girls who's existence is exclusively facebook.

Margaret Thatcher was a pleb. Also, outside of England I doubt many people care (or need to care) who she was.

as i tried to tell you, and i am with borat, i have no idea who that dressed up girl on the left is - is that also not excusable?

i also tried to tell, that i do not really find it bad if m.thatcher isn't remembered, as i am not of the opinion that she served mankind in a particular good way. allthough the historic persons listed by you were warmongers (except franklin, i think, though unsure) they at least left mankind with a broadend horizon. i am sorry to say, but i fail to see what good did ms thatcher do for humanity? why would i want to remember her?

i mean, if you had chosen something cheesy like ghandi or such, i would say, ok, cheesy but legit.
also, i have the feeling that you do not know who willy brandt was.

well, to give an example from your region, if i were to add the pics of justin timberlake and nicolas ceausescu, do you think that anyone not being able to tell who the latter was would be an idiot?

Nice one, I like!
And if you wonder why Gevlon chose MT and not Willy Brandt you obviously don't read his blog very often.

Mrs Thatcher wasn't just "one British PM", just like Napoleon was "one French politician".

Halycon said...

She really isn't that important. She was the British version of Ronald Reagan, beloved and hated by one side or another for the same root reasons. Thatcher was a product of her times, not the other way around. Or at least that's the feeling us yanks get when reading what brits write about her.

To put it simple: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bKAc8GcQL0I

Also Gandhi was the one responsible of giving Pakistan -fair- share, which they used for militarization, so its not like he is flawless.

Also tbh. That image may be with commrade Lenin and it would still send intented message. There id nowhere "praise" part in that meme, only note about poeople interest (pop culture vs politics).

Funny story I once heard from my friend that is studying on Oxford she asked another student what to think about Lenin and the answer was "is it that guy from the Beatles?".

so thatcher too was a complex driven outsider who went for political power to make up for a sorry ego?
or did she restructure the map of europe, a process fundamentaly neccessary for todays european union?

@1258anom: educate me.

and still nobody has argued for why knowing her is the prerequisit for not being "the source of the plight of mankind".

and btw, not knowing who these two ppl in the pic are, and not recognising them from a picture are two very different things.

"Napoleon was "one French politician"."
he was a general in the french army who usurped, which does not really make him a politician, though doing political things.

She was though, in the same way as any other major PM in a country is just one PM among many.

Could you identify a picture of the ones that came before her?
Could you recognise Harold Wilson, Clement Atlee, Edward Heath Neville Chamberlain? Or say what their main achievements were?

I know who both women are and although the first woman is rich famous for having a big arse I have nothing against her personally. Thatcher however helped destroy my community, the witch.

Gevlon said...

@Halycon: everyone are. However she didn't cling in previous ages, didn't shy away from fighting for a better World.

@Flame of Chaos: is the UK destroyed? If not, then she didn't destroy your community. (Unless you are Northern Irish, her policy there was shit, but so was everyone else's in those times.)

@Anon: Wilson, Atlee, Heath and Chemberlain were "just another PM". She was much more than that. She changed the course of UK much better than Raegan did for USA.

uhm?

"She changed the course of UK much better than Raegan did for USA."
according to your logic: the usa are more successful than the uk, so she must have done worse.

@Marek: noone's flawless ... :) and while we are at it, washington was a slaveholder from the southern states. :)

Daniel, if you think Gandhi was an OK person, please read up on him. I think Christopher Hitchens wrote about him. Some, like mother Theresa have a good name, but in reality where bad people.

daniel said...

1749anom: i'm fully aware of that.

Well... Iron Lady retrieved Falksland, Usa failed in Vietnam, Uk 1:0 Usa, lol.

The importance of knowing the past and who was in the past is that one is often cured of a certain type of egoism we see a lot of today and that people are aware of what has been done and tried either with success or failure.

Bobbins said...

@Gevlon ': is the UK destroyed?'

She destroyed tory support in Scotland. One could argue that she is very responsible for the rise in support for Scotland independence which very nearly split the Union.

Ha, the right one was the dead English witch, which had more balls/testicles than any political leader on that green island in the last thirty years.

The other one, I coud not recognize at first because she was not naked and not being humped by her afro-american ex BF... :)

Like the killmails, though.... Entertaining as evah...
