Weekly report

This is my first weekly report on my new server. While I've already wrote about my recent raiding success, but you are not here to see Leviathan screenshots, are you? So let's get to the point: money!

I made my transfer last Thurstday, so I'm here for 9 days, so it's actually not a completely weekly report, but let's ignore that.

I had 20000G with me and some items. I payed 2x5000G to the guildbank. I started my glyph business, that meant buying lot of herbs. I had to buy consumables, enchants for my new epics and other little things. At the end of the week I was down to 1400G. Ouch.

I've started transporting horde only pets to the neutral AH, they sell like candy, got couple hundred G.

I have two alts selling glyphs, they just sent me their first week income: 10100G. The glyph prices are higher on this server than on my old, so I expect 10K+/week from this.

I have a separate alt who sold my stockpiled items. Most of them already sold. Enchanting stuff for double price.

Important advice: if you sell a Mechano-Hog on the AH, don't look at the "auction house cut" line of the mail. It hurts.

This alt sent me the money she made, so on the screenshot you can see me with my current cash:

BTW the Death knight next to me belongs to my girlfriend. She started with my DK banker. She already made 1400G (without any help from me). She mines and herbs where she discovers the land and flips items on the AH. And she does not even have Auctioneer!

That's a nifty screenshot. Well done!

Lol at the double standards! Anyone else who mines and herbs for cash, or plays AH without Auctioneer is M&S for playing inefficiently, but because Gevlon's girlfriend is the one doing it he's proud that she makes gold despite giving herself this handicap!

She is mining and herbing WHILE exploring the land (DK's start with 0 explored land). So it's not a farming tour.

Auctioneer helps to keep the prices for you. Since she sells only a few items, there is no need for that.

Anonymous,

You sound like that annoying kid in school who listens for any apparent contradiction from the teacher and pounces on it, without understanding the big picture, in which the apparent contradiction is not really a contradiction at all.

This is not a sign of intelligence, my friend.

@ Anonymous the troll

You sound like a jealous little girl or are you just PO'd at him for some unknown reason. I bet I know what the problem is; did he move to your server? Ha, I would be pissed to, but look at it this way you can always get a gathering profession and be his bitch too. Enjoy.

Nice looking screenshot!

Wow, you're already attacking the half-way point to the gold cap again, good job!

I had to look at your gold several times to make sure I was reading it right.

Re 2nd post:

I believe that I had a valid point, but I see my language was needlessly rude. My apologies.

I agree with Kevan; very very nice screen shot!

I'm enjoying reading of your adventures, keep 'em coming.

Your girlfriend's DK looks cruel.

@ Gevlon
I was wondering how many auctions you typically have up at one time. I may have missed that if you mentioned it at all in your posts.

the greatest form of wealth is philantropy. I would like to Gevlon's letter to Bill Gates/Warren Buffet on how their billions of dollars supporting the needy in human society is wrong.

Gevlon I am curious, what glyphs have you found sell well? My DK is my inscriptor and is almost maxed. However, I have not been able to find out which glyphs are consistent is selling. Any advice would be appreciate. Keep up the good work.

@ Gevlon

Could you please tell us what kind of glyphs your selling. I can imagine that the new 3.1 glyphs don't sell bigtime. Most raiders that want them spec the "perfect "raid spec+glyphs and don't change that and 1 pvp spec or a 2nd pve spec. I would really like some more background info on glyph business. 10K a week is that pure profit or like 7K invest?

thx

Wait, you were down to under 2k gold and you had alts send you 10k or so.. you're leaving out how you made 80k gold or so!

I guess Mechano-hogs were part of that? Did you sell about 5 of them or something?

5% of 15k per hog lost to the AH cut. Ouch.

I'm curious, what exactly do you do for your Glyph business... I'm a very inexperienced Goblin, and I have been making probably 3-5k a week (or even less) through the Auction House alone. I've just stocked up on a ton of herbs to mill. I found someone selling stacks of Adder's Tongue for 15g a stack, so I bought 110 stacks. What do you recommend I should do with these. --Update-- After I milled and converted it to inks, I'm left with 99 Snowfall Ink and 613 Ink of the Sea
