My "readers by feedburner" dropped to 1/3 of the previous. My "individual visitor" count did not changed significantly. I can also see that Tobold has 813 readers, Matticus has 600 (normally both are way above 2K).
Does anyone know what the source of the error and can I do anything to fix it?
This seems to be a general problem. Odd enough Feeedburner doesn't seem to recognize Google readers right now, even though they're connected. It has happened before and they've fixed it in a few days. I suggest you stay calm.
There's a group for Feedburner issues you can check up where people help each other. But in this case I don't think you'll find many answers there, just complaints...
For what it's worth I haven't had any issues with your feedburner feed that I've noticed.
Honestly, while you can try to ask for help at the Google Group, you probably won't get any. Feedburner is fantastic because it's free and there's really nothing else like it, and it's awful because it's free and there's nothing else like it.
I wish Google offered a paid version that came with support - I'd buy it.
This could also just be a normal adjustment- I read somewhere that feedburner has trouble keeping track of when people unsubscribe to a feed, as well as some other things that inflate the numbers.
My blog dropped by 75%... no idea what happened.
You're not alone bud!
I am reading via Google Reader. I received messages the past few days. At least it seems to work at my end.
My feedreader count dropped from 400 to 100 the other day. I assume people aren't mass-unsubscribing from my blog.
It's likely an error on their end. It'll get fixed.
I had the same problem, I dropped from 500 subs to about 100. It seems to crop up occasionally, but it seems to be fixed today!
I actually dropped this feed when your ramblings towards Matticus and friends got out of control. Looks like you mostly learned your lesson there though.
I check here maybe once every week or two now.
I'm reading you in Google Reader with no problems. Your RSS feed seems fine.
