"Monday minipost": incursion and the dumbest MoA member

Sorry about the lack of post today, RL was mean. However I could cook up a minipost with a wonderful nullsec incursion.

There was also a battle between a few-men mixed "NPC null trash" gang and a 5x!!! outnumbering, capital-supported FCON fleet.

The hellcamp continues! A fleet consisting Fidelas Constans, Get Off My Lawn, Goonswarm Federation, Tactical Narcotics Team and The Bastion pilots guarantees that no one leaves the 5ZXX-K station.

SMA once again fielded its signature fleet to show the NPC trash who's the boss!

Let's not forget the Anime Masters who are disarray after the ban of Stunt and can't do anything.

As you can see, the useless NPC trash is on the brink of extinction by the mighty Imperium who are the only superpower and so rich that they can replace titans every day (they need that ability again), so please donate!

Update: you probably seen that a moron managed to lose a recently bought titan. At least he lost it to Snuff, so the anti-Imperium campaign results are unaffected. His killboard shows that he wasn't a titan pilot for long, so it's not a bridging titan loss to MoA, it's a moronic member needing to compensate something with a big ride. I wrote my position about non-powerblock titans a year ago: it's a kill report waiting to happen, don't buy a single one! If he'd gave its price to his own alliance, he'd be a big hero for them, instead of a big laughing stock in an NPC corp.

Didn't want that Titan anyway, right Gevlon?

:)

??? It wasn't mine and I explicitly advised against its existence a year before.

How does it feel knowing it was most likely your donations to moa that paid for the titan that lasted a while 3 hours.

Gevlon said...

You're an idiot. My donations go to the SRP of the fleet engagements listed above. The titan was bought by an idiot like yourself from his own (likely wallet warriored) ISK. It's indeed a shame that such idiot could get into MoA and doesn't reflect well for the leadership, but no alliance ISK was lost.

The faction loot they got from the incursion fleet alone pays for more than a month's SRP.
It is an undeniable fact that MoA has vastly more income than what they spend on their SRP program. Makes you wonder what they do with that extra money, or why you keep sending them ISK.

You say that yet when privately bought capitals die for goons it's considered a loss to the alliance.

Gevlon said...

@First Anon: Wouldn't it be wonderful if people would get easily available data before posting? MoA lost 115B to the Imperium and another 64B to third parties. Most of them are SRP-able PvP losses.

@Second Anon: idiots exists everywhere. The difference is that the Goon idiots can stay Goons and even celebrated under "we are bad at EVE", while MoA kicks these fails. Dumb losses of privately owned ships are bad because they attract hunters to camp the alliance. However if you kick the bads, they can't keep attracting hunters, nor they can influence others to follow them into stupidity.

So MOA are a no fun allowed organisation that actively want to reduce content in their area and care more about their kb than the people flying under their banner? To be frank, it sounds like the GSF is winning this war given they are having fun with capitals while MOA are restricted to only flying mostly frigates.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like this "dumb goon" is enticing tons of other people to come to us and create content for us, instead of us having to go to Providence to burn their shit down for some content. I dunno, sounds like win-win for us.

Still smells like a doublestandard to me, though. "Well if this group loses a privately owned supercapital, they're privately dumb but the loss should certainly not count, but if this group loses a privately owned normal capital, it's the entire group's fault and should count in the overview of losses."

Gevlon said...

"No idiocy allowed" is actually needed to have a fun fleet. Welping because of a moron is not fun. I don't care how it "sounds like", I care what the numbers say and they say for every ISK lost to the Imperium, MoA kills 3. And this idiot titan makes no difference, because it was lost not to the Imperium.

There is no double standard. If you kick the idiot, you are idiot free. Sure, it's still bad PR, but problem solved. Goons aren't bad for losing trillions. Goons are bad for losing trillions and not making anything about it.

If you were to look at the stats of the dread pilot, do you think he's generally considered as "an idiot"? Do you think he would be a hindrance to any "no idiocy allowed" fleets? Or does him taking his _personal dread_ out to have some _solo_ fun _on his own time_ before his insurance ran out make him an idiot for all eternity who must be purged from the imperium?

gevlon can i ask do you see the payouts buy moa srp team to see if the money gets payout to the members for the loses or is it just blind faith in them?

Gevlon said...

You are an idiot or you are not. If you take out such dread, you are likely do similar stupid other times.

I think the pilots would notice if they wouldn't get SRP and make some noise. If Gen Eve takes all the money and somehow makes his pilots fly without SRP, the more power to him!

Anonymous said...

You could dedicate an entire blog page on the kb history of that dread pilot lol.

Anonymous said...

If I take a dread out, even knowing it may die, am I an idiot? A dread to me is the equivalent cost of a cruiser to most people, so if I would be an idiot for taking a dread out, they are idiots for taking cruisers out.

You do what you enjoy, and some people enjoy taking a dread out to play.

Gevlon said...

I do what I enjoy and I don't enjoy playing with dumb people.

Anonymous said...

Gevlon it appears you are starting to lose it a bit. You seem a bit more tense than normal.

Did you know that was Gen-EVEs alt that lost that titan? He's trying to play it off and put some spin by posting with it on forums etc. but that's Gen EVE, I tried to find the character bazaar sell but it was too long ago I'm guessing.

Also, that titan was your isk, so in a circle of things you lost a titan Gevlon.

Anonymous said...

SRP doesnt come close to what you pay them each month, given their ridiculous restrictions.

So, Gen Eve has plenty of spare ISK.

Vanilla Mooses said...

Gevlon, what you forget is that to most people who play EVE - "fun" means that sometimes you lose ships in hilariously stupid ways.

You're so caught up in numbers, charts, graphs and data you've forgotten something - EVE is a silly video game. ISK is just make believe worthless internet space money that has no real value. Calling everyone who actually understands that "dumb" is a bit extreme and makes you look very disconnected from reality.

Goons are trying way too hard to troll here. It comes across as desperate. Which makes sense. They're loosing to a guerrilla force 1/8 their size. Any opportunity to troll and they jump all over it.

As a card carrying member of MoA I can testify that their pilots do get a very robust SRP, and we do have a lot of fun. (In my opinion, killing goons, the ultimate bad-guys in EVE, is the most fun anyone can ever have in this game.)

One word about Gen Eve: you don't get to be the leader of one of the best pvp alliances for 8 years by accident. Nor by raw charisma alone. MoA is the seal team six of Eve and Gen Eve is our general.

So, keep trolling goons, we'll keep hunting you to extinction. :P

Hi GG! MoA member here. I feel I need to correct you because you think we have an actual SRP program. We don't. We have a "Post your losses here"-thread where special people (Like covert cyno characters/people etc gets reimbursed). There was roughly paid out 2.7 bil ISK in August. If Gen EVE or Massadeath is telling you otherwise you might have to ask for some evidence. Most line members doesn't care about the reimbursement, but unfortunately this leads to a lot of brain-drain long-term. Without sounding greedy, I would honestly prefer if you paid out the ISK to invidivdual members like you did with Stunt :)

@Xan Auditore

Seal Teams are a naval force, they have admirals, not generals.

Xan Auditore said...

@DK

Ha ha, very true. You'd think I'd know that being an Army guy: We're the Delta force of Eve.

@Cairn Pithum above:

MoA member here. You may have some severely outdated info. Not leadership so I can't speak for the numbers you're providing, but we absolutely do have line-member SRP, and while it's not retarded-moongoo-isk-200% brilliant, it's definitely enough to keep us flying - covers close to the full cost of most ships and the entire cost of certain subsidized ships like logi.

@Gevlon - you're forgetting an important part of EVE in your analysis of how alliance members should spend their money. At the end of the day, it's still a game - people have personal goals and preferences on how to spend their personal money. This particular person probably wanted to fly a titan, so they got a titan. And proceeded to act moronically with it, but that's beside the point. If everyone was trying to optimize goons-killed-per-hour we'd lose our minds. A decked-out dread fleet would have been a nice (and fun!) way to spend that ISK, but "donate it to the alliance" doesn't see the immediate rewards for the player in question - thereby, it doesn't feel worthwhile or "fun" even if it gets more value long-term - and even if the player themself benefits a lot from it, it won't be immediately obvious that this is my contribution at work as you'd get from bridging with your titan or ganking a supercap with a bunch of pilots in dreads, most of which you've given out personally.
