Monday minipost: the battle of 6GWE-A

Since I spent most of my EVE/blogging time on Burn Amarr Niarja, I did not have a real post for today. Enjoy the reports of the event: Arazued, bait Ark, no big catch, barely any kills in Amarr, early gank failures.

For today, a recent piece of news: Mordus Angels, flying Auguror Navies and Cerberuses, clashed with the signature SMA fleet, killing 4.5B, losing 0.05B. Well done!

38 pilots kill 4.5B in a battle... what could they have earned if they spent that time trading??

Are you actually bragging that a combat fleet w/lots of tackle dropped on a bunch of miners and three escaped? How did that sabre let that happen?

That's what, 30 combat ships against... 8? 10? w/no logi?

And SMA had people live?

Probably a kink in their neck from falling asleep at their keyboard. MoA is not a merchant guild, trade federation, or mining industrialists.

They're bad-ass warriors to their very core.

Just a question regrading markets....

Is the fall of faction ship prices related to the end of all 0.0 wars??? Are all the nulbears ratting like crazy and dropping one macha oder rattle bpo after the other??

@Arrendis: mining belts can be 100km wide, so the survivors could be that far from the rest.

@Anonymous: as Xan said, if they were traders, they wouldn't join MoA at the first place. They do missions for a living, and Mordus missions pay around 100M/hour, if the battle took half an hour with preparation, that cost them 1.9B, still positive.

Except then they wouldn't be on the BR at all. To be on that listing, they had to either a)shoot at a ship that got killed (with drones, in the case of the mining barges) or b)die. Someone who gets shot at but escapes doesn't report to zkill, just like logi and boosters don't.

So they were close enough to add their drone dps to the few losses MOA took. On a procurer, that's like 30-40km. So why didn't the fast tackle get those 3? Why did they fight and then escape?

Their kill was https://zkillboard.com/kill/47422175/
This is a speed fit interceptor. So, the majority of the miners got caught in bubbles, a few on the other end of the belt did not, but a fast inty pointed them. They killed the inty and ran.
