EVE server?

I can't see either the EVE server, the launcher says "No connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the Launcher.", nor the API server. No *.eveonline.com website either. I have internet (otherwise wouldn't writing this). However eve-offine.net says everything is OK. Any ideas?

Thank you, it's up now.

Think there are some connectivity problems in the EU networks at the moment.

Both eveonline.com and the server/game work just fine here (from Norway). Open a command line window (Start menu->run->"cmd" without the quotes) and type "ping 87.237.39.180" without the quotes. If you get a response, it's a DNS problem, and you can try using for example Google's DNS server. Respond if you need help doing this.

If you don't get a response, type "tracert www.eveonline.com" , again without the quotes. This will show you where the along the route from Hungary to the server your problem is.

Either way, it's likely a problem with your ISP, and these things tend to be fixed pretty quickly. Can be worth trying to call your ISP and ask if there are any known problems currently.

I just tried and was able to successfully log in.
Might be an issue with your DNS as you can't even resolve the API?
Try opening a command prompt and typing "ipconfig /flushdns"

Some info on what the command does: http://htipe.wordpress.com/2010/03/22/ipconfig-flushdns/

Sometimes for me there is a Windows "confirm allow changes" dialog box I missed.

But couldn't this be what you wrote about during the D3 days? I.e. the game server can be running fine but the authentication server that allows you to log in is down? Like when people can continue playing fine but new players can't log in.

I do not think the server status sites monitor authentication servers.

It's not just you, a couple of other people are having problems connecting from europe, too. Seems like a problem with one of the UK level3 carriers.

No eve player here, but eveonline.com is available from my mobile phone here in Switzerland.

Looks like some uplinks towards CCP are down.

Server's up. I saw someone in the chat earlier say there was an ISP problem in Germany, if you're in europe that could be your issue.

Sounds like the main route to the eve server from your location is down for some reason. There was a news blurb about it on the Eve website about 5k connections getting dropped about a week ago. It should come back up. I don't know when though.

In Germany this was definitely happening today. Connection was lost every half an hour or so, and client had problems reconnecting afterwards. Seems to be fine now though, and apart from EVE, no other sites seemed to be affected.
