4.2 got "release" tag on PTR, so 4.2 will be deployed soonTM. Speculators say Jun 22, but if it's Jun 29 or July 6, it still means in a month. What does it mean for us (the guild)?
At first, gear rewards are worthless to collect. We will raid normal mode fireland soon, so farming even 372 items are pointless. Of course gearless new people should gear up for 4.2 but geared raiders shouldn't waste their time for for their last epics. Soon much better will be available.
Secondly, the T12 2-pieces bonus will beat the T11 4-pieces bonus, while the T11 2-pieces bonus is weak. So getting T11 pieces now is not priority. We can kill endbosses so new players experience them in their non-nerfed for.
Doing Hyjal quests is important as you'll be locked out of the 4.2 dailies if you don't have the regrowth zone complete. Aessina's miracle is the quest you must complete.
From the first week of 4.2 we'll have organized 4.0 boost raid every week to help new people gear up, and raiders to get rich.
The first week of 4.2 will be our mad PvP project, the "Occu'thar monopoly", aimed to lock out horde from TB in the first lockout, keeping the loot pinata boss for ourselves. This will also net lot of honor points, which can be used to buy ilvl 365 PvP items, so at the end of the week, we'll be all set for PvP. We do not guard TB before that, both to avoid being bored, and to make sure that hordies are not forced to somehow organize themselves.
Ratings from RBGs will be erased at 4.2, but MMVs not, so it worth coming to rated BGs, both to get some experience, and to decrease our starting 1500 MMV. After 4.2 I expect lot of randoms coming for conquest points, they will be easy farm.
We will start progressing on the first bosses of Firelands, in 1:30 periods between Tol Barad battles.
Since there is really nothing else to do if you have 350+ gear, we will focus on doing at least Atramedes and Omintron heroics.
These are the plans of the guild, if you are not in the guild but like them, you can transfer or even reroll as you have time to reach 85 before 4.2. Just read the rules.
If you have ideas how to spend the last weeks before 4.2, feel free to comment.

That's not right... new raid loot is ilvl 378 while current HM loot is 372 so it's hardly "much better" unless you're planning to start Firelands hard modes immediately. I'm pretty sure some BiS gear will continue to be BWD/BoT HM loot until 391 gear becomes available to my guild.
"Secondly, the T12 2-pieces bonus will beat the T11 4-pieces bonus, while the T11 2-pieces bonus is weak. So getting T11 pieces now is not priority."
What? This is certainly not true for all classes. Mage T11 4pb is extremely strong (10 % cast time off main nuke) whereas the T12 2pb (a pet to dps for a few k total dmg)is a little lame. The stats difference will matter of course, but don't just give a blanket statement like that when it's clearly not that simple.
"Doing Hyjal quests is important as you'll be locked out of the 4.2 dailies if you don't have the regrowth zone complete. "
If 372 loot is not worth it, why does doing the dailies for 365 loot even matter? It's nice for crafters of course but I don't need anything on those vendors for my gear. The raid faction, that's a different matter of course.
Good luck with you TB project, sounds ambitious.
So within the first hour of logging in, on the ball new PvP players, who may be level 60 today, will have at least.
2 piece T11, or two more 359 epics from their 4000 JP.
same from their 4000 hk
9 Pieces of 358 crafted PvP gear (e.g. tailoring)
JC 358 ring & neck
Inscription 358 relic
"Gear rewards are worthless to collect."
Better gear will always help in the start of firelands. And why not try and push a Atramedes kill before that patch?
"The T12 2-pieces bonus will beat the T11 4-pieces bonus"
Not true for a lot a of specs like hunter and boomkin
The prerequsit quest for molten front dailies is called "Aessina's Miracle" and not "Messina's miracle"
You cant get 365 items until Season 10 starts. Thet will happen meaby a week after the patch.
Ab Aeterno will try some more Hard Modes (to see what we can get done coordination-wise, we took in some new people and have to hammer out the cooperation between healers especially), and do some gearing-up for the ones who raid less.
But yeah, not much else to do. Suits me personally, horribly busy RL. ;)
Remember that in patch 4.2 blacksmithers can craft epic weapons, you should see all those recipes and start buying their mats (I think they should be much cheaper now than after the patch)
PS: I think they are rewards from being exalted with the new faction, but can't remember exactly.
IMO the last weeks should be spent stocking up on mats.
I'm not much interested in other professions, but BS recipes in 4.2 will use a lot of the same old mats - Chaos Orbs, Hardened Elementium, Truegold.
Thus BS should stock up on these, as the value will rise after patch. This involves running Tier 1 heroics (not troll - this is about chaos orbs).
Anyone planning to have an item crafted by someone else should look up what he will need and buy the mats now.
There's a point where your generalization does not Work Gevlon, you say that "the T12 2-pieces bonus will beat the T11 4-pieces bonus, while the T11 2-pieces bonus is weak. So getting T11 pieces now is not priority. "
Actually, that's not true, for mages, for example, upgrading from IL372 T11 into IL378 T12 is a downgrade (specially for arcane).
Best Regards
@4P T11 people: http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/2341-Patch-4.2-PTR-Build-14288
Moonkin 4P get a huge nerf to make it worse than 2PT12. So it's not my opinion, it's Blizzard's intention to make T12 preferred. They will nerf every 4PT11 that is competitive with T12
I'm busy stockpiling enchanting mats and making lots and lots of scrolls. When the gear shower opens in 4.2, I hope to make a killing. When ZA/ZG first opened, I sold so many scrolls that I ran out of mats, lol. I don't want to make the same mistake again.
I'd strongly advise you against Omno hc, its not one of the easier hc bosses (arguably its the hardest one in BWD), and will be even more difficult without voice chat. Both Chim and Atra are a lot easier with a balanced setup, and I think even Nef will be easier than Omno for you. Anyway, good luck with your hc progression :)
@Gevlon
The moonkin t11 was nerfed because it was better than even 4pt12. I'd be very surprised if any other set bonuses were changed before the patch goes live.

The date is set, and there's nothing stopping it. The season's end is 21st of June, and content patch is ALWAYS 2 weeks after seasons end.
>>Since there is really nothing else to do if you have 350+ gear, we will focus on doing at least Atramedes and Omintron heroics.<<
Is there any particular reason that you would choose Omnotron for your 4th HM? (assuming you down Atramedes first) Looking at wowprogress' data, you can see that 3109 guilds have killed Heroic 10 man Omnotron, compared with 4445 for Valiona and Theralion, 8296 for Magmaw and a staggering 10692 for Chimaeron. Why on earth would you choose to go for something which is twice as hard? Trying to prove a point, or do you just not like your guild gearing up?
