Weekend minipost: Crawling is hard

I've read hundreds of posts and blogs but added just a few. Most of the blogs I find are dead. Most of the posts are about Secret World re-launch or some pre-alpha game. I keep crawling.

I'm a bit confused, in your last post you wrote: "However I no longer request anyone to suggest me some obscure game that might be good. Instead, I'll stick to high-playerbase games (including ones with early access badge) because they are either good, [...]"

And yet, you're still searching for some obscure game ..? What exactly are you looking to find in your crawl? A high-playerbase game that you somehow missed until now?

I don't know. It's a "crawl" for a reason, an open-ended search. I'm looking for ideas, new viewpoints. For example I've already found that MassivelyOP beta page with 30 games on it. I never imagined that there are more than 5-10 MMOs being in development. Who the hell are giving money to these...

... yes, I know, kickstarter marks.

The Chinese (and Far Eastern in general) market for MMOs is pretty big. Their mmo culture is far stronger than anything in the west. Most MMOs come out there. Some of them get translated.

Incidentally, i don't know what you think about anime, but whatever you think - as long as you are into MMOs - you might find this interesting http://kissanime.ru/Anime/Quan-Zhi-Gao-Shou/Episode-001

that a web Nobel originally. the kings avatar. I recently caught up to the last released chapter. but i believe the author has the right idea on his concept of an mmorpg. though he believes apm is long for some things. anyway I apreciate the layered realm concept he uses. to keep it simple, you for normal servers. and then for those who want a challenge that can choose at mas level to take a test and go to the mega server that is available to all servers with more content and challenge. imagine a normal server = wow and then you can move to rhe difficulty server. same game. but more content and challenge.
