FCON deep in a hole

As you probably know, I'm in a negotiation with WH mercs to evict GSF Hole Squad from WH space. No space shall be safe for the clerks of the Emporium. I was contaced if I'm interested in a smaller eviction: a few FCON guys had a C5. Of course I was and 20% bounty after kill reports were agreed. I got much more than that: a great story with pretty screenshots. Since I received the story in E-mail with a name that can be real, let our speaker be known as the pilot who will receive the bounty: Andi Onthatop. Here it is:

We reinforced their tower with a Naglfar and a Phoenix. Part-way through, their leader "Magni Odhinn" logged in and started onlining more guns. We incapacitated all of the guns and reinforced the tower. As we reinforced the tower, he started jettisoning ships from their SMAs. As he did this, a Revelation bumped out of the POS shields. Because we didn’t have a Revelation pilot in the hole, we killed it instead of boarding it. However because it hadn’t been sat in by a pilot, it didn’t generate a killmail:

The next morning, they did some more moving and a Moros and Thanatos bumped out of the POS. We stole them and put them in our POS. Over the course of the next day we kept hole control. They had 5 pilots in the hole. We kept their static crit with a cloaked ship on the other side and we managed to roll out two of their pilots when they jumped out. However, unluckily, a frigate hole spawned. These are bad news during an eviction because there isn’t a feasible way to roll them away. They scanned it out, but for some reason they neglected to jump it until it was end-of-life with only 2 hours left. If they had jumped it right away they could’ve burned in a lot of pilots in Interceptors and it would’ve made our success much less likely. They attempted to bring in a pilot in an Interceptor, but for some reason he let himself get locked by our HIC and died. He sent us a nice Evemail containing only one word "pussys".

Once they jumped the frigate hole, in order to stop them from bringing in new pilots we feigned allowing them to buy their way out of the eviction. I’ve placed the chat log from that conversation at the bottom of this document, it’s pretty long. Essentially the agreement was:
  1. We gift them back their Thanatos, for free.
  2. They give us 10b.
  3. Both sides stand down and don’t roll any holes or bring in more pilots (a big deal).
  4. They use the Thanatos to repair their tower and re-stront it.
  5. We take our dreads out the first capital-capable hole and send them screenshots.
  6. They send us another 10b.
Before we agreed on the deal, their CEO self-destructed one Tengu. We gave them back their Thanatos and ...

As the tower came out of reinforce, they boated a Moros out of the shield to start destroying the bubbles we anchored around their tower. We warped our dreads over to the tower and killed the Moros. At this point, their CEO knew we lied to them and ...

Then proceeded killing him when he boated out of the shields in a Prospect. Then, we finished off their tower. As you saw in the earlier screenshots, quite a few of their ships were not in the SMAs, so they didn’t generate killmails, but losing them still harmed FCON.

Next day as we were hauling in loot, for some reason, they logged in a Moros and Thanatos they had logged off in the POS. We killed them and ...

What a great writeup with a story of war and deception. Bounty well earned. What can I add? An ultimatum to Hole Violence. I demand you to quit Goonswarm until Sunday this week, or you'll suffer the same fate as the FCON punks and the blog will have another great story from WH space!

Sound investment Gevlon.

I know for a fact that Fcon group also owns a C3 that has a low sec static as well

Cool story :-)
I would have loved to read such things more often in the last months...

And, Gevlon, how do you proceed with the 20% bounty?
Do you pay strictly by killmails or do you take the screenshots as well and pay this stuff, too?

@Amarr-Zon: they got a little bonus for the great story

@Anon: which one? There shall be no place where the filthy minions of the Emporium survive.

So what if they quit goonswarm, but retain positive standing to it and instead be a member of CFC with nothing much changing for them?

I'd say evict them regardless, but that's your money to decide.

Are you not afraid that making such a noise about your plans will make them evac WH assets and wont get you those fat killmails?

If they evict on their own, that's fine. A Goon running in shame is just as good as a dead Goon.

Hard Knocks delivers. The "Gevlon sends his regards" bits were a nice touch.

I will never understand why some people in eve still believe in paying ransoms...poor souls.

In the past ransoms in wormholes where honoured and if word got out that you were dishonouring them a coalition of wh forces would form in defense of the victims. For better or worse the days of wormhole honour seem to be past us.

In WH space it is far more common to honor ransoms.

shit WH space went to hell with the rental empires that killed honor. You want WH honor evict the renters and set all red and get the fights a going
