Breaking news: Anonymous, I love you (and BAT is shit)

So, I wrote my opinionated metagaming piece on Endie being uninvitable to MoA. Anonymous commented that I should use objective numbers. I dismissed him with *reasons*. But he resisted, demanded objectivity, results, the stuff I usually preach. So I gave in and made it, using the August-October data I used for the post "Endie is a troll". Oh the irony!

Thank you my dear commenter for being the voice of reason. The post is now updated. Spoiler: Bat is shit.

Callduron, please update the reddit post with these numbers! The World must see this! Let their chances to go anywhere be ... diminished!

Grr Bat!
Also, I've never given them a single dime, the screenshot they circle around is photoshopped.

They have the best isk ratio of the lot, not sure what you are trying to show here.

For a small corp BATs sure are destructive... The blew up more stuff than even GoonWaffe.

Have you even read the post? http://greedygoblin.blogspot.hu/2015/12/no-endie-in-moa-just-no.html

All their kills are on highsec freighters.

Now think about how badly they can maul CFC logistics.

Not much.
- CODE will still not attack known alt-freighters.
- it's very hard for everyone outside to verify what they do. I mean they can prove they killed a freighter, but how does anyone know it was a Goon alt
- Hauling in Niarja/Uedama themelves isn't necessary for logistics. Goons can just use Red Frog in highsec or buy their wares in Dodixie/Amarr to avoid battlenecks
- Goons can just read my own anti-ganking guide

BATs have inside knowledge of where and how CFC logistics are run, they have the key members of the GIA and reportedly the tools too and they are the original flagship freighter ganking corp of EVE. Nobody else in EVE is set up to the degree BATs are for hurting CFC supply lines.

Strange that you are disdainful of BAT as "just a bunch of hi-sec gankers", but you are supportive of MOA who are in reality are just a bunch of null-sec gankers.

What does MOA do that makes them superior to BAT?

Gevlon said...

@Anon: except it's impossible to measure their work. They gank neutral freighters, they claim they were Goons, Goons claim they were not.

@Jim L: they kill Goons. I'm after Goons, not highsec miners.

"@Jim L: they kill Goons. I'm after Goons, not highsec miners."

Not even if the high sec targets are goon alts?

Gevlon said...

That cannot be verified or falsified. No Goon will ever acknowledge that the lost freighter was his.

That's where the BC spy network comes in. You are turning away probably the greatest asset you could wish for for no logical reason.

Gevlon said...

Logical reason: they are Goons. If I fight Goons, trusting Goons isn't the best idea.

Not my question. I understand why you are supporting MOA and not BAT. My question was about your characterization of BAT's PvP ability. You are disdainful of BAT and their PvP results but praise MOA despite them having very similar results and methods.

Ganking a freighter needs no hunting and movement. You just play some game with TS on, FC says "we have bump tackle, form up", you finish your round, form up in 5-10 mins, undock, warp to scout, target, F1, warp pod to celestial, dock. I did it a lot, it's a chore. Very different from hunting ratters who watch local or even bait.

Actually there is a blue list of out of alliance freighter alts, were BAT to turn on them it would be a massacre and rather funny. Also would fit in with their desire to go after Sion, if that is really the case ho hum...

But at the end of all of this assessment BAT are mainly doing hisec ganking, and I was surprised that people did not know that, however they also did interdiction of enemy space in the past, I saw them doing it and they were good at that too, but that is often like hisec ganking, in terms of perfect execution style kills.
