1) Gevlon quits EVE; after realizing planning to play was more fun than actually playing the game, spending time to PLEX multiple accounts lost it's appeal.
2) Gevlon announces the null* corp he'll "end game" with. Tired of "EVE Offline," Gevlon stops arguing and finds the thrill of battling Internet Spaceships in his tackle merlin, as he patiently collects the SP to fly T2s + caps.
*WH is all about "flying in space," ... from what I've read, Gevlon is more into the meta-game... the sociology involved. To each their own, but I do see a null future, not WH.
Gevlons eventual null sec entity will be based upon the Pareto principle.
The Pareto principle (also known as the 80–20 rule, the law of the vital few, and the principle of factor sparsity) states that, for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.
his recent posts disparaging "Skill to V before playing" philosophy that seems to be prevelent amognst elite PVPers, and his previous 'undergeared' project, make me think there is an "Underskilled" project coming soon.
Given the new front page image, I wonder if it might be Gevlon announcing that this has all been an elaborate troll.
Honestly though, note that he's said no to a lot of people in the comments but not to anyone saying he'll be announcing a corp/alliance he's joining. If it is that, I don't know which corp/alliance it will be - the new banner made me think of Tear Extraction & Reclamation Service, but I somehow doubt it's them. Might actually be a CFC alliance like TEST, especially given Gevlon's appreciation for their kitchen sink and ShitCat fleets.
@Hivemind: Because simply joining an alliance is not a "very important" thing for the blog. I mean do you consider "Gevlon joined TEST" something that anyone cares (beside myself and TEST)?
Honestly? Yes. I think there are quite a few in your audience who follow the blog out of curiosity rather than specifically for trading tips, and while "Gevlon joins TEST" isn't automatically noteworthy, "Gevlon joins nullsec alliance, moves out of hisec and starts getting first hand experience of the things he writes blog posts about" would definitely be of interest to your readership.
Announcing a change in focus from making profit in hisec markets to supplying nullsec as part of joining a null alliance would also be an interesting change.
I should point out that I know this blog only from your EVE posts, so when you say "most important post made" I naturally jump to "big change in EVE" because I have no wider historical background of important posts to compare with. I guess if I did maybe I'd be suggesting it's a sign you're changing games again or similar.
I've read this blog for about two years now, back when Gevlon played WoW.
I also don't play Eve.
I'm pretty sure that there are people who read him and who don't play Eve, and who appreciate his posts for the analysis and philosophy and middle class posts.
Thus, a 'big thing' about him joining a somethingorother corporation, to us, is about as interesting as watching grass grow.

Interesting. I anticipate Monday's post. I'm not sure if I should be excited or concerned.
IPO time?
You are leaving Eve to play "pirates of the caribbean". Arrgh.
Why would my personal life change be any important to you?
There are two dramatic possibilities:
1) Gevlon quits EVE; after realizing planning to play was more fun than actually playing the game, spending time to PLEX multiple accounts lost it's appeal.
2) Gevlon announces the null* corp he'll "end game" with. Tired of "EVE Offline," Gevlon stops arguing and finds the thrill of battling Internet Spaceships in his tackle merlin, as he patiently collects the SP to fly T2s + caps.

I'm hoping for option 2!

My bet is on either
(A) Gevlon starts some sort of corporation/alliance.
or
(B) Gevlon has found some sort of scandal/exploit.
@Anti: that would be pretty trivial and straightforward.
1.He didn't found anything scandal/exploit related.
2.He does not quit EvE.
3.He MIGHT thinking to make a corporation/alliance for null.
4.MOST LIKELY, he will announce that he accepted to join a null alliance, very likely a big one.
5.It is NOT going to be amy corp in any of CFC alliances.
6.If he goes to -A-...bummer :D
Since he said that "It will be my most important post made", I doubt it will be about joining an alliance.
@all speculating, here is a comment from Gev from the Thursday Post:
@Phil: Monday post
So it will be most likely something about trading.
Oops, sorry. The post mentioned to Phil was postponed because of the "big thing".
Hmmmm... Changed picture on the front screen.
My bet is that he's off to join the Goons.
