Morons of the week

Sonjaya of Alterac Mountains found the standard idiot who can tell you how much you can undercut:

Cranberry of Runetotem is the long time supplier of her server with vendor sold items and long time supplier of my site of capital idiots:
Terah sent a similar screenshot, but he made only lousy 1.3G profit on the item, definitely selling below it's Real ValueTM (copyright of Moronic Glyphseller Inc).

Another ethical seller and the proper handling of such beings by Bobii of US Draka:

Fierydemise of US-Shadowmoon had the pleasure to raid with Fearstar. Take a look at this fine gentleundead, especially to the neck, back and trinket items.

I don't know if I should be proud or sad. Simon got his idea of making money from a morons of the week post:

There can be no "morons of the week" without the archmoron: the guy who tells you how to price your stuff (by Attica)

No more morons for this week, no post on Sunday.

Whenever I see a "lol, check out this fool's gear on armory" link, I always expect him to have sorted it out before I click through. This guy hasn't yet, but in case he does: warlock wearing agi/crit/AP/ArPen neck, str/def/block cloak, trinket with a proc on melee/ranged hits, and trinket with an armour proc on being hit.

Yep -- as a 'lock myself, I weep for my class to see someone level 80 wearing that shit.

Ah, I've met one of those...

2. Trade: [Somedude] WTS King's Amber 90g!

I whispered him, sure, I'll buy it, knowing that most cut gems go for over 150g and even uncut are above 100g on my realm.

He invites me, sees my non-level-cap-ness and says "screw it, you're gonna sell it on AH, I'm not selling to you!!!"

I never get it, why would anyone care what I'll do with the item?

@Anonymous
Because he's a social person, that wants to 'help people' by getting them cheap gems for gearing up.

Also, if he sells it to you, knowing you'd just sell it on the AH for a profit, it makes him (Rightfully) feel dumb because he could do that himself but doesn't want to admit he's to dumb to figure out what to get it cut into and how to use the AH.

There's one line there which says "pay attention to the back, neck, and trinket items", but there doesn't seem to be a picture or anything else associated with it...

@Glyph

The name in that sentence is a link to an armoury page

There is no character on Runetotem named Cator

Gevlon said...

Yes there is: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Runetotem&n=Cator

27g! for refreshing spring water! mad!

Green and Black Dye seems to sell well for 8g too...

However the time it consumes to gather these craft bought at vendor products, post on the AH , empty mailbox, etc. It's too much

It's not a well going product for sales.

So was a nice experiment. Had a few good laughs but It's definitely not worth it.
But if you have loads of time or a fresh starter on a server and you need some money. :-)

Would it stand to reason, that its easier to use Goblin methods in server that has big population? Bigger population means more Morons, but then again would it mean more competition?

The troubling thing about that 'lock is not the terrible gear choices but all the other shiny purples he is wearing.That tells you some real morons keep boosting him through stuff time and time again.

are you sad at simon's post because he's got uncut epic gems coming back to his mailbox expired? perhaps he's favoring a little laziness or M&S himself by not taking the time to cut them, or get them cut and make the +40/+50g extra per gem?

selling silken thread isn't cool if you're losing 40-50g per gem.

That warlock's gear is painful.

And he has ONE item enchanted... and he's an enchanter.

I wonder how he gets past gear checks... o_O
