LFM alchemist

The next profession in the goblin apprentice program is alchemy. Requirements:
  • be an alchemist (seems common sense, but if people would have common sense, I wouldn't be goldcapped)
  • Have your professions above 400. I have no intention to work with slackers
  • Play on EU, English speaking realm. I cannot start an alt on different servers
  • Be online somewhere between 16:00 and 21:30
  • Be low on gold. This series is not an EJ of moneymaking, it's not about elevating 5K/week to 10K. It's about getting enough to never grind again
  • Apply in the name of the character (and realm) who wants to make the money. I'm not interested in other characters (except of course bankers). One of my points is that you don't need a full stable of characters with all professions to make money.
  • Don't apply if you have "lol" in your character or guild name. Just don't. Also don't apply, if you have a condition that forces you to put emoticons and "lol" into every sentence.
Apply in mail.

PS: the profession after this will be engineering, then BS.

Shit I have that condition :(

Engineering is gonna be bit difficult. Most huntards dont use AH to buy arrows =p.

It will be interesting to see what you can do with engineering. Selling a few bullet makers on thursdays doesn't really make you that much profit.

Ha, the last part is funny, especially considering you were asked why you always had the need to put "a nose on your smileys".. Hypocrite much?

hehe...ur the man Gevlon...cant w8 for engineering...i have that prof on one of mine chars that i dont play anymore (huntard), really wanna see what u can do with it, except arrows/bullets

btw i forgot...when will u do enchanting...i have it maxed but it seems its not a steady income, the scrolls dont sell every day and i only make nice money when im in a city advertising on /2

@Bubu

You can make a decent amount of reasonably steady income using enchanting to DE greens from the AH. I can make around 2K a week just from that alone. And that's with using a level 52 toon with 350 enchanting.

You should really pick someone with Engineering next time.

I am an alchemist and I can make money in the AH. The only thing I can ever sell are potions of speed and wild magic. Still, I make a good profit every week. Only Raid Expenses are still > my profit.

Coming from a US server I can't apply, but can't wait to see what all you do with this. Detailed report please!

Gevlon,

It really sickens me to see all these people posting all the time about how they cant make money with engineering...

The profession has me pulling in near 1000g/day just from engineering items alone. I log in for 30 minutes a day, an hour when I need to stock up on items to sell again.

After patch 3.2 I can see my income dropping significantly with the changes to ammo. The lower price could also lead to a great sales volume, and in turn greater profits, I cant wait to see.

Again, I ask, what are you saying to your apprentices that you aren't saying on your blog? If anything.

I too look forward to the eng applicant. Bronze tubes ftw is all I ever saw with mine. JC was uber easy tho, once u had the cuts of c.

just taking the LW example of borean armor kits...30g price, 15g profit...i dont tend to bother with a market unless can make 300% profit.

(dis)enchanting i make 300% on mats better if i turn them into scrolls.

glyphs 300% -> 1000%

time is as important resource as gold, obviously, and some conversions are more time consuming than others.

for example i find glyphs to be very AFK unfriendly. milling 250 stacks. crafting 200 x 10 glyphs. at least the ink conversion can be done while AFK. even collecting the items from the mailbox isnt very AFKable.

smelting -> BS -> disenchant -> stackable out of the mailbox is much more AFK friendly even though the profit margins arent as high.

Why not people whit lol in the name?
You are on Stormscale now. How about Athenelol(rank 1 in all brakets) from your server. He gived tips how to play poker, and he is doing 30k $ now, hes target is to reach 1 million $, so those are tips, not bashing people people for buying choppers.

because athene is a tard?

Because, furiouslol, people with lol in their name are usually idiots.

Case in point, there is no "Athenelol" on Stormscale-EU.

http://eu.wowarmory.com/search.xml?searchQuery=athenelol&searchType=all find one on stormscale for me.

" don't tend to bother with a market unless can make 300% profit."

The disadvantage of that is it is very tempting for someone else to join you in that market.

i hope you LFM tailoring :3

You couldn't make a trial account for some of us US players?

=P

Either way, Looking forward for both Engineering for my main, and Alchemy for my upcoming shaman.

@Arnock
It is my recollection that trial accounts cannot access the AH which would make doing market research difficult.

Hello, I'm aware that this is a rather old post. I'm sorry for the necro comment, but I'm highly interested in making profit with my profesions (alchemy in this case, or w/e other you'll pick later). I have toons with all professions maxed out excepted engineering and tailoring (this one being around 300) but still I'm very bad at making profit from them (some of the toon are my boyfriend's). The market in my server is really really weird. For example, the highest price of a glyph is 55g. My armory profile: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Tyrande&n=Drael
